Mohamed Fayez

Mohamed Fayez graduated with honors from the Electrical Power and Machines Department at Ain Shams University in Egypt with honors. As a student, he volunteered with different development organizations. In 2010, he worked with Alashanek Ya Balady on the development of Ezbet Abu Arn. In 2011, after the revolution he was elected president of the Higher Scientific Committee (HSC) of Ain Shams' student union. As president of the HSC he supervised the launch of the annual EGY Science Festival. Besides his great interest in green technology, Mohamed is eager to learn about energy management, policies and economics. He joined CILAS to develop an interdisciplinary perspective on environmental challenges before pursuing graduate studies. Mohamed now works in the development field gaining insight into the social and environmental challenges in Egypt.
