Ahmed Magdy Rabie

Ahmed Magdy Rabie joined CILAS with the aim of exploring himself and the world. Earlier this year he decided to quit architecture school and to dedicate his time to documentary film-making. Covering social issues through documentary film evoked his interest in human and social behaviors. He wishes to become capable of handling humanitarian issues with greater sensitivity in his film projects. In recent years Ahmed has participated in several development projects in and around Cairo. He has a special interest in one-on-one, interactive documentary projects. Ahmed has visited different cities across Egypt which strengthened his conviction in the goodness of mankind. He has learned to be more open-minded and seek out the strong contrasts in Cairo's human palette. Ahmed believes through art, music, film and observation we can change the world to the better. In other words, he would like to make anybody see the world and function in it in a happier way.
